Slowcooker Short Ribs and Polenta

Busy day today, so I’ll make this short and sweet (pun intended =0)) Short Ribs and Mashed Polenta

Ingredients:

Beef

  • 4 boneless beef short ribs (try to find meat with a little more fat, so it won’t come out dry)
  • 1/4 tsp sage
  • 1/4 tsp thyme
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/8 ginger
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 tbs maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup beef broth

1. Mix sage, thyme, ginger, salt, sugaar, pepper, and maple syrup

2. Coat beef with mixture

3. Place beef into slow cooker and add beef broth.

4. ** Cook for 4-6 hours on low** Each slow cooker is different, so please check it.

Polenta Fries 

Ingredients:Short Ribs and Polenta Fries

  • Organic Polenta (we buy it from Trader Joes, it’s easier to cook, comes in a tube)
  • 1/2 tsp of chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  1. Cut polenta into sticks
  2. Add olive oil into pan
  3. Add garlic
  4. Cook for 4 or 5 minutes on each side on medium low

Creamy Polenta (first picture)

Ingredients:

  • Milk
  • 1/4 cup of shredded cheese
  • Organic Polenta
  1. Add milk and chopped polenta into pot, cook on low heat
  2. Stir in cheese and keep adding milk until desired consistency
